I know IRC is niche nowadays — especially over Tor. But I miss the old internet communities, so I decided to build one myself.

BabaYaga is a relaxed underground IRC space focused around cybersecurity, Linux, privacy, technology, and random discussions. The server is still small and evolving, but everyone is welcome — you don't need to be an IRC expert.

We don't keep server-side logs. Illegal activities, spam, or abusive behavior are not tolerated and may result in kicks or bans. Users are encouraged to register their nicknames to protect their identity on the network.

Feel free to create and manage your own channel.

CONFIGURING TOR PROXY
Set your IRC client to use a SOCKS5 proxy at 127.0.0.1 port 9050 (Tor daemon default). Then connect directly to the .onion address. Most IRC clients support this natively.
